Inquiry Project

Beginning in 2010, some members and executive members of the BCATA engaged in professional inquiry to examine how formative assessment can be used in visual arts education to enhance best practice. We received a PQT grant from the BCTF’s Program for Quality Teaching (funded by the Ministry of Education) in January, invited BCATA members to participate through our listserve, and started to meet as a group in April of that year. We presented some of our work at Pots, Paints & Pixels in Salmon Arm, and the Visual Celebrations Conference in Vancouver.
